Almost showtime...
It's been a while since I posted an update, but I've been hard at work
In my personal life, I got to give a presentation on how to become a 3D artist using Blender which was fun, but it cost me a few days of writing, editing, creating assets and building a powerpoint for that. I loved doing it, but presenting is a LOT of work. :(
In game news, there is an expo event for local game devs here in town next week, and I've been putting in a lot of work getting this thing ready to show.
I added a new GUI tutorial that pops up before the levitation tutorial, and a new "defrost" effect for when the player wakes up on the space ship. The bottom floor of the research facility now exists, so the elevator actually has a reason to exist, and I've also added some temp art for the artifact that you're supposed to retrieve. I've fixed a boat load of bugs and made some quality of life and performance tweaks too over the last few weeks.
You can see the "defrost" effect here:
Ignore the random bits of ventilation shaft laying around the levels, if you find them. I failed to clean up after myself from some experimenting.
Next week should have another update with some much cooler stuff. :D
